Beliefs

We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and women, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as an atonement for our sins at the Father's bidding, that through Him we might stand before the Father in His righteousness. We believe that the grave did not hold our Lord and on the third day He rose from the dead in bodily form and appeared to His disciples. Further, he ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for His people.

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is lost and that eternal salvation is only possible through the atoning death of Christ on the cross. Further, that this salvation comes by way of a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men and women of their sin; regenerate the believing sinner; indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

We believe in a personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ for His saints, for the judgment and condemnation of the world and Satan and for the creation of a new heaven, a new earth and the new Jerusalem.

We believe that the church is composed of all persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.

We believe that water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life, and that the Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
